Why these templates are different
- Site-specific by design. The #1 reason principal contractors reject a SWMS is that it's generic — another job's hazards. Every document opens with a make-it-site-specific checklist, and fill-in fields are yellow-highlighted so nothing gets missed.
- No padding. No 20 pages of legislation quotes, no risk matrices — the Office of the Federal Safety Commissioner and WorkSafe Victoria both say these don't belong in a SWMS. Everything a principal contractor checks for is in; everything they roll their eyes at is out.

State coverage
NSW, Queensland, SA, Tasmania, the ACT, the NT and WA all run harmonised Model WHS laws — the Model WHS version of each SWMS covers them, with jurisdiction notes where details differ. Victoria never adopted the model laws, so the kit includes a true Victorian version of every SWMS.
